---------------
Intro:
A few years ago, I was running into problems with other people using
my system without my permission. Having confidential files on my machine
made it a priority to have a good, secure password-ing system in use to
keep out those who I did not want using it. It was from this that
JDWPassword was born. JDWPassword was my first entry into the Amiga
computer-programming market, and it was certainly a blast making it. I
used it for a year or so, and then it became an obsolete necessity.
Consequentially, I put the project on a shelf and went on to do other
things with my life. Recently, I've come back into a situation where I
again need such a program, and JDWPassword just wasn't hacking it anymore
on my new A1200. It was from that original JDWPassword code that
SuperPass was born. Superpass 2.0 is a fully-functional,
fully-confidential passwording system, offering customizability that I
found lacking in other passwording programs. And, best of all, IT'Z FREE!
:)
INSTALLATION AND USE OF THE PROGRAM:
Requirements:
* Any Amiga system
* The REBOOT command package (included)
* Amiga's "installer" if you want to use the install script
* A little knowledge of editing your system-startup or
user-startup if you choose not to run the install script.
Installation is very very easy, finally! Just use the
Install_SuperPass program (providing you have Installer in your path), and
it will call everything it needs to complete it's job. From there, all
you'll need to do is reboot to use it! :) If you DO NOT have Installer
available to you, you may simply run the SuperPass_install program, which
will copy the appropriate files to their places, and tell you what must be
added to your startup-sequence or user-startup (depending on your OS
version). If you do the manual install, KEEP THE SuperPass_install program
around somewhere! If you don't, you won't be able to change the passwords!
SuperPass 2.0 has been coded to run on all machines. If you would like a
68020 version of the program, drop me a line in email (see the bottom of
this document) and I'll get it out to ya via email.
SuperPass is very easy to use. Simply install as instructed above,
add the lines you need if you did not use the Install_SuperPass script, and
reboot! That's all there is to it! You may change the passwords at any
time if you'd like simply by using the SuperPass_install program, which
should be in your C: directory if you used Install_SuperPass script, or
wherever you put it if you used the manual install. It will prompt you
through it.
SuperPass 2.0 has been completely re-coded from the bottom up.
Although based on JDWPassword 1.5IH (in-house test version), it may not be
able to use the old password files if you used previous versions of
JDWPassword. Please just take a few seconds to re-create them with the
installer, you'll be much better off! SuperPass 2.0 has also been
optimized for space, but not for speed. On my 68020 A1200 it takes about
1/100th of a second to load off of my IDE hard-drive. On other systems
this may vary, but it's still a pretty small program. I don't think it can
be made resident, although I have no idea why anyone would WANT to! :)

WoytekWare Software Company Update:
WoytekWare Software is now WoytekWare Computer Services. A new
WWCS_history file is included that details my history, and the history of
my company.
Notes:
A History file is now included in the archive. It just gives a brief
history of the changes in the program. PLEASE copy and distribute ALL
WoytekWare Software products to your friends and show them that quality is
not always in the big-name products! Read the distribution notice at the
beginning of this document for more information.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Future Additions:
The next major revision of SuperPass (planned to be 2.5) will
hopefully include:
* Faster, smaller executable
* WB-Lockup for unattended machines
* Possibly a GUI setup utility! :) (want to write one? Email!)
* AmigaGuide-format documentation

thanked in future versions of the documentation.
What's this I hear about free personalized copies?
Yeah! They're out there! All you have to do is send me the latest
version of a program you're working on, and you'll get a free personalized
copy via email! Just don't send me anything like:
main()
{
printf( "Hello, world!" );
exit(0);
}
or you might not get anything!
